The Sales Partner Program

The job ends.
The income
does not.

You install chargers for a living. Every pay-to-use charger you sell and deploy pays you a commission on every paid session, for as long as it runs.

In one paragraph

An installer’s income normally ends at the invoice. Here it starts there. You buy hardware at MSRP and keep the full margin on whatever you sell it for, and then you earn 2 to 3 points of EV Initiative’s 15-point platform share on every paid session at a pay-to-use charger you deploy at a site you originated, for the life of that charger. It is calculated on the same basis as our share. The rate is stamped the day the charger goes live and it never goes down. It never comes out of the host’s 85%, and the host pays exactly the same either way, so using you costs them nothing. This is not a referral program.

  • 2 to 3 points

Of our 15-point platform share, on every paid session at a pay-to-use charger you originate, for its whole life.

  • 4

Commission starts at your fourth qualifying charger. It is never retroactive.

  • 0%

Of your hardware margin. You buy at MSRP and price it yourself.

  • 2 days

A person reviews every application and replies within two business days.

Two income streams

One you already have.
One nobody offers you.

Most charging companies pay a bounty for a lead. This pays a percentage of what you built, because you bought it, priced it, installed it and stood behind it.

Stream one

Hardware margin.
Untouched.

You buy from EV Initiative at MSRP and sell at whatever price you set. The margin is yours entirely. We pay no commission and no rebate on hardware, which is deliberate: a rebate would make us a party to the price you quote your customer.

Autel units, programmed to the network before they ship, drop-shipped to your site. Prices are public on the shop, so your customer can see what you paid and you can still defend your number.

Stream two

Session commission.
Forever.

On top of the hardware margin, 2 to 3 points of our platform share on every paid session at every pay-to-use charger you deploy at a site you originated, for as long as that charger runs. A partner with a hundred chargers in the ground has a hundred chargers paying them every month without doing anything further.

Programs that pay for twelve or twenty-four months are asking you to keep selling to keep earning. This one pays for the life of the equipment.

Where the money comes from

Our 15%. Never your customer’s 85%.

A building owner pays exactly the same platform fee whether a Sales Partner deployed their chargers or not. The commission comes out of our side of the split. That is a selling point to the property owner as much as to you, because you never have to explain why your customer is paying more for using you.

The commission

Stamped at deployment.
Permanent.

A charger keeps the rate it launched with for its entire life. Growth only raises the rate on the chargers you deploy next.

Commission switches on at your fourth qualifying charger. It is never retroactive.

Paid monthly.

Through Stripe Connect, on paid sessions actually collected, with a summary by site.

You hear it first.

Crossing 50, 100 and 150 sends you a congratulations email the moment it happens.

Rates are points of EV Initiative’s 15-point platform share. A charger counts when you originated the site, it is not at a home, we approved its launch, and it runs on a paid tariff. Free chargers and installs at sites we sourced do not count.

For partners who deploy at volume. The same ladder to charger 199, then it keeps climbing to 5 points.

Earns from charger one.

Enrolment waives the four-charger threshold. Commission starts with your first qualifying charger after you enrol.

Your history counts.

Every qualifying charger you have already deployed counts toward your tier.

$10,000, once.

One-time enrolment after a person reviews your application. No annual fee. Enrol at any time.

Golden rates apply to chargers deployed after you enrol. Chargers already live keep the rate they were stamped with. Launch approval still applies. Installs for EV Initiative and installs at homes are not counted.

What you actually do

Three steps.
None of them
are support calls.

One

Deploy a charger.

Install the hardware and program the network address into the unit. The charger announces itself and the platform recognises it, with no reconfiguration and no support ticket. Commissioning finishes on site: a tested plug-in, then launch approval, and it is live.

One thing that is easy to get wrong: never type the identity twice. A transcription error makes the charger permanently unreachable with no error message anywhere, because an unknown identity is refused at the socket. Copy it from the unit’s own configuration.

Two

Hand the site over.

The property owner gets the operator console for their site: live status, pricing, revenue, driver activity, alerts. You do not have to support it and they do not have to call you.

That is the part installers usually hate about EV charging work. You install a unit, the customer’s software does something confusing six months later, and you get the phone call. On this network the platform answers to the owner directly.

Three

Get paid.

Commission lands through Stripe Connect. No invoicing, no reconciling, no monthly request. A monthly summary shows what your installed base earned, by site.

The terms that matter

In plain language.

Written out here rather than buried, because a commission that runs for the life of a charger should be understood before it starts.

Independent contractor

A Sales Partner is not an agent or employee of EV Initiative and cannot bind us.

Paid sessions only

Commissions accrue on paid sessions actually collected. A session that fails to bill does not generate commission, because there is nothing to share.

Never retroactive

Tiers may change for future deployments with notice. A stamped charger keeps its rate.

Bad faith is excluded

Self-dealing loops, shell installs, and sessions generated to hit a threshold rather than to charge a car. We may audit and may exclude a charger deployed that way.

Termination

Inactivity ends future stamping, and commissions on live chargers survive it, because the chargers are still running and the work was still done. Termination for fraud or bad faith stops accrual entirely.

No territory

No exclusivity is offered, and nobody should be sold on reaching 150. The rate is knowable. The volume is yours.

Sales partners

Deploy it once.
Earn on it
for years.

You earn 2 to 3 points of our 15-point platform share on every paid session at a pay-to-use charger you deploy at a site you originated, by tier, stamped permanently at deployment. It never comes out of the host’s 85%, and the host pays exactly the same either way. A person reads every application and replies within two business days.

Questions

Straight
answers.

What do I have to sell?

Nothing beyond what you already sell. You buy hardware at MSRP, mark it up as you choose, install it, and the commission follows each pay-to-use charger at a site you originated: a customer you found and sold.

How much is the commission?

You earn 2 to 3 points of EV Initiative’s 15-point platform share on every paid session at a pay-to-use charger you deploy at a site you originated. It is calculated on the same basis as our share, and it never comes out of the host’s 85%. Where a charger falls in your order of qualifying chargers sets its rate: chargers 1 to 49 earn 2.00 points, 50 to 99 earn 2.25, 100 to 149 earn 2.75, and 150 and beyond earn 3.00. Commission starts at your fourth qualifying charger and is never retroactive. Homes and sites EV Initiative sourced do not count or earn.

What is a Golden Partner?

A tier for partners who deploy at volume. Enrolment is a one-time $10,000 with no annual fee. Golden rates match Standard to charger 199, then keep climbing: 3.50 points from charger 200, 4.00 from 250, 4.50 from 300 and 5.00 from 350. They apply only to qualifying chargers deployed after you enrol, and enrolment waives the fourth-charger threshold. Each rate is stamped at deployment the same way, and the ceiling is 5 points of our 15. Golden counts the same chargers Standard does: pay-to-use, at sites you originated, not at homes. Installs you do for EV Initiative do not count toward Golden tiers. It never comes out of the host’s 85%.

Does my rate go down if I slow down?

No. The rate a charger earns is fixed at the moment it is deployed and it never changes, in either direction. A charger deployed as number 60 earns 2.25 points for its entire life, even after you cross 150 and your new deployments earn 3.00 points.

Does my customer pay more for using me?

No. Your points come out of EV Initiative’s 15-point platform share, never the host’s 85%. The host pays exactly the same whether a Sales Partner deployed their chargers or not. You can tell a customer honestly that using you costs them nothing.

Do you take a cut of my hardware margin?

No. You buy at MSRP and sell at whatever price you set. The margin is yours entirely. We pay no commission or rebate on hardware, which keeps us out of your pricing.

How long until I earn?

Commission starts at your fourth qualifying charger: pay-to-use, at a site you originated, not at a home. From then, every paid session on each qualifying charger earns at the rate stamped on it, starting at 2.00 points. Sessions before that point are never paid retroactively. A Golden Partner starts with their first qualifying charger after enrolment.

What if EV Initiative calls me in to install?

Then you are doing an install, not originating a site. EV Initiative sourced it, so the charger does not count toward your tier and earns no commission.

What about a home install?

You get the install job and you introduce the homeowner to the network. The homeowner registers their own charger for monetization. A home charger does not count toward your tier and earns you no commission.

What if I install free chargers?

They do not count toward the tier and do not earn. A free charger generates no session revenue to share. That is arithmetic, not policy.

Do I have to support the software?

No. The property owner gets the operator console for their site with live status, pricing, revenue, driver activity and alerts. They do not have to call you and you do not have to answer for it.

What if my customer switches platforms later?

The commission is attached to the charger on this network. If the owner leaves, the charger leaves with them. That is their right, and it is the reason we work to keep owners rather than lock them.

Can I lose the commission?

Sustained inactivity ends new stamping, and the chargers already stamped keep paying. Termination for fraud or bad faith stops accrual entirely, and we may reclaim commission tied to it. Tiers may change for future deployments with notice, never retroactively.

Is this a referral program?

No, and it is not marketed as one. A referral program pays a one-time bounty for a lead. This pays you points of our platform share on every paid session at every pay-to-use charger you sell to your own customer, install and put in the ground, for as long as that charger runs.

How do I join?

It is an application, not a signup. Name, business, licence, service area, expected monthly installs. A human reviews every application and replies within two business days, because a commission that runs for the life of a charger deserves knowing who is on the other end of it.

See if you qualify.

Name, business, licence, service area, and roughly how many you install a month. A person reviews every application and replies within two business days.
