Mission Hills Site Layout Enhanced

Mission Hills Site Layout Enhanced

We recently learned that we will be able to utilize the alley on the north side of our property. As a result, a redesign process was initiated to optimize our available space.

This new layout provides 22 electrified stalls! Along with additional amenities, there will be a retail (food truck?) area and a space for (robotic?) vending.

We plan to move forward with Option 4.

Here are the four options that EV Initiative and Coffman Engineers produced and discussed.

Coffman's feedback:

For example, option 1 is probably the most symmetrical, simple option with one traffic lane through the site and 20 total charging spaces. It does not, however, has as many spaces as Option 4 (22). However, with Option 4 we have concerns about squeezing in the extra two spaces on the west side of the site as could be difficult to pull into if adjacent spaces are occupied.     Option 2 is the layout that you sent over that we modified a bit. We think the parallel spots should have some buffer space between them, as it would be difficult for cars to parallel park/pull into the middle spots that have cars in front and behind them. We were only able to get 17 charging spaces with this option.     Option 3 gets you 20 charging spaces, similar to Option 1, but we’ve laid out the site a bit differently to give a different perspective. The drive aisle from S to N is only 16’ with this option, compared to 20’ with Option 1.
