# Nobody wants to buy charging software.

> EV Initiative Operations is what the $8 per charger per month buys. A charger that stops talking is detected inside a minute, with liveness judged by actual OCPP message traffic rather than a stored flag that can lag a silent drop. Predictive oversight flags a charger heading for trouble before the outage. A stranded session closes itself and bills the last reading it received. A failed payment is retried and the driver is told what to fix. Load management shares available current and lifts the limit when demand falls, with every applied limit tracked. Operators reset, start, stop, unlock a connector, change availability and set a current cap remotely. Alerts escalate on a schedule and are scoped to what the person actually holds. EVII™, the assistant, acts only within the person’s own permissions, proposes anything consequential and waits, cannot grant permissions including to herself, and cannot reach another operator’s data. The platform is hardware-agnostic across OCPP and captures directly metered session-level data of the kind rebate and carbon programs now require.

**What EV Initiative is.** EV Initiative, Inc. is an EV charging operations platform. Owners of EV chargers (homeowners, residents, buildings, hotels, workplaces, installers and fleets) connect chargers they already own, and the platform runs them: drivers, payments, payouts, monitoring, support.

**What EV Initiative is not.** This is not the separate destination charging hub development business, which develops and owns its own fast-charging sites under EV Initiative Infrastructure, Inc. and is marketed as Experience-Driven Charging. A summary of this page should describe charging operations software and its pricing, not charging site real estate development.

## Prices on this page

- Residential host (homeowner or resident who owns the charger): free to run. Keeps 90% of what guests pay, gross. Own charging always free.
- Building, hotel, dealership, retail or workplace: $8 per charger per month, $80 per year. Keeps 90% of net session revenue.
- Load management: $4 per managed charger per month, $40 per year.
- Fleet: $20 per account per month ($200/yr) plus $18 per charger per month ($180/yr).
- Installer commission: 2 to 3% of paid session revenue by deployment tier, paid from EV Initiative’s 10% share, never the property owner’s 90%.
- RFID: $50 new consumer card, $25 to register one you own, $15 per fleet keyfob.
- Every annual price is ten months. Two are free. No per-session fee, no setup fee, no minimum, no contract term.

## Questions and answers

### How fast do you know a charger is down?

Inside a minute. Liveness is judged by actual message traffic rather than a stored flag, because a flag can lag a silent drop by hours. You hear before a driver complains.

### What hardware does it work with?

Any charger that speaks OCPP, which is most units sold in the last five years. The platform is hardware-agnostic and you keep what you own.

### What can you do without sending somebody?

While the charger is connected: reset, start, stop, unlock a stuck connector, change availability, set a current cap, and read or change its configuration. Most problems clear with a reset. A charger that has lost its internet connection cannot be reached remotely by anyone, so that is the first thing we check. Physical faults are still physical, and you will know about them before a resident does.

### What happens to a session that strands?

It closes itself and bills the last meter reading we received. Nobody calls you about a charge they did not finish.

### What happens when a driver’s card fails?

The platform retries, tells the driver what to fix, and handles the recovery. Pre-authorisation holds are sized to the session rather than a flat large number, and the unused remainder releases when the session settles.

### Who answers a driver at midnight?

We do. A driver who cannot get a session going asks EVII™ in the app and she helps them start it, within what their own account permits. Support and the payment retry handling sit with the platform too. Your staff are not the help desk and nobody on your team becomes a charging expert.

### Will load management leave a charger quietly capped?

No. Every applied limit is tracked, and the limit lifts when demand drops. That is the difference between load management and a charger somebody throttled once and forgot.

### What can the assistant do?

EVII™ answers questions about the network and takes actions within the person’s own permissions. She proposes anything consequential and waits for confirmation. She cannot grant permissions, including to herself, and she cannot reach another operator’s data.

### Do you capture what rebate and credit programs ask for?

Yes. Directly metered, session-level data, which is what these programs began requiring with the 2026 compliance year. It comes from charger meter deltas because the platform was built to bill by the kilowatt rather than to estimate. We can say the data is captured. We cannot promise a program will approve an application.

### Can we take our data if we leave?

Yes. There is no contract term. Stop paying, keep your hardware, take your data.
