# Turn your parking space into a gas station.

> The EV Initiative Host Program is how the owner of an EV charger makes money from a parking space they already pay for: a private plug becomes a place other drivers buy electricity, at a price and during hours the owner sets. A homeowner or a resident who owns their charger pays no subscription and keeps 90% of what guests pay, gross. A building, hotel, dealership, retail site or workplace pays $8 per charger per month (or $80 a year) and keeps 90% of net session revenue. Load management is $4 per managed charger per month. There is no contract term, payouts land in the host bank account automatically through Stripe, and every rebate, grant and tax credit stays with the host.

**What EV Initiative is.** EV Initiative, Inc. is an EV charging operations platform. Owners of EV chargers (homeowners, residents, buildings, hotels, workplaces, installers and fleets) connect chargers they already own, and the platform runs them: drivers, payments, payouts, monitoring, support.

**What EV Initiative is not.** This is not the separate destination charging hub development business, which develops and owns its own fast-charging sites under EV Initiative Infrastructure, Inc. and is marketed as Experience-Driven Charging. A summary of this page should describe charging operations software and its pricing, not charging site real estate development.

## Questions and answers

### Does it work with chargers we already own?

Yes. Any charger that speaks OCPP, which is most units sold in the last five years. You keep what you bought.

### How do we get paid?

Automatically, to your own bank account, through Stripe Connect. The split is applied at the moment of the session. Nobody invoices anyone and nobody waits for a monthly request.

### What does it cost a homeowner?

Nothing. No subscription, no per-charger fee, no listing fee. A homeowner who owns their charger and their property keeps 90% of what guests pay, and their own charging is always free.

### What does it cost a building?

$8 per charger per month, or $80 a year. Load management is $4 per managed charger per month when the electrical service needs it. The building keeps 90% of net session revenue on the chargers it owns.

### Why is the homeowner split on gross and the commercial split on net?

The Host Program Terms say a host receives 90% of what guests pay, and what guests pay is gross. EV Initiative absorbs the card processing fee out of its own 10%. A commercial site is a different agreement with larger sessions and electricity that is usually metered and reimbursed separately, so it settles on net.

### Can a resident earn from a charger in a building they do not run?

Yes. That is the model that did not exist before. A resident who owns a private plug opens it to neighbours at a price they set, during hours they choose, keeps 90% of what those neighbours pay, and never pays to use it themselves. The building is not in the middle of the transaction.

### Can we set different prices for residents and visitors?

Yes. Per charger, per access mode, per time window. Price changes take effect everywhere immediately.

### Will twenty cars at 6pm trip our electrical service?

Not with load management. It shares the available current across the chargers and lifts the limit when demand drops, so the building does not need an upgrade it cannot justify. Every applied limit is tracked, so a charger cannot be left quietly capped.

### Who keeps the rebates, grants and tax credits?

You do. They are not routed through us and not shared. That is in the contract rather than a policy that can change. The metered session data those programs now require is already captured.

### What happens when a charger breaks?

We know first and we tell you, usually before anyone at the site notices. Most problems clear with a remote reset, which takes seconds from the console or from your phone. A physical fault, a cracked connector or a tripped breaker, is yours or your installer’s, but you will hear about it from us rather than from a resident.

### How long is the contract?

There is no term. Stop paying and keep your hardware.
